Frances Slocum Website.
Frances Slocum was a white woman who stolen from her family in Pennsylvania by Delaware Indians. She was eventually found living in a Delaware settlement near the Indiana city of Peru. While her story is not related to the Miami Indians, it is a fascinating one.
A newspaper article published in 1869 recounts her story. This is a wonderful read! Newspaper article from the Morning Republican, 1869.
